Starting next Wednesday 11 October in Cremorne,  Lifeline is running a new 9 week ‘Managing Your Feelings’ skills group. The group is purpose-designed for adults with mild to moderate intellectual disability, who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression, and who are presently living, working or studying in Northern Sydney or on the Northern Beaches.

The sessions will be conducted at the Centre for Disability Studies in Cremorne. Key components covered will include skills to recognize and regulate emotions, thoughts and actions; and skills to build helpful thoughts and behaviours, including Mindfulness skills to help the person stay focused on the present moment.

There will be no cost to participants, but a referral from a GP to the SNPHN Mental Health Triage will be required in order to attend.
