Early in 2018 Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury will be running its popular ‘Being Mums’ support group at a new venue – Nannelli Community Centre, at 5 Jersey St, Hornsby.
About ‘Being Mums’
‘Being Mums’ is a group for mothers with babies, (up to 1 year old), who are feeling stressed at times and finding it hard to cope. During the second half of 2017, Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury has been running ‘Being Mums’ in Mona Vale, and will be continuing in that location with two new groups already announced for 2018, (starting 2 February and 11 May). But now we are bringing ‘Being Mums‘ to Hornsby.
An ideal new location
“Our Northern Beaches groups have been very successful,” comments Lifeline H2H PHN Group Services Coordinator Gillian Fox. “So now we are very much looking forward to bringing ‘Being Mums’ to the North Shore. The Nannelli Centre, close to Hornsby Station, will be an ideal location as many young mums in the area already know it for the popular toy library and playgroups – run by Fusion Australia – which take place there.”
Interested mums should talk with their doctor, or early child health centre, as admission to the groups is by referral from a GP. (It might be helpful to print out and take along this streamlined referral form).
