Biggles Flies Into Chatswood!

Categories: Book Fairs, Community, Events Archive, Fundraising

Biggles books will be flying out the door at our upcoming Giant Book Fair in the Civic Pavilion at The Concourse, Chatswood on Saturday February 3 and Sunday February 4.
Thanks to our wonderful donors…

Lifeline H2H has kindly been donated two separate “Biggles Books” collections, which include two particularly highly sought after First Editions – Biggles and the Deep Blue Sea (Brockhampton Press 1968) and Biggles Sorts It Out (Brockhampton Press 1967).

Other First Editions at the Book Fair will include Biggles and The Penitent Thief (1967), Biggles Sees Too Much (1970), and Biggles In The Underworld (1968), (all published by Brockhampton Press). There will also be on sale five First Australian Editions and five First Printed editions of popular Biggles stories, as well as a few Gimlet books and books on Space. (But sorry, no Captain W.E.Johns Worrals titles this time around).

Biggles galore!

Most collectors and bibliophiles will be aware that Captain W.E. Johns wrote close to one hundred Biggles books. All up, we will have over 65 titles at the book fair, with multiple copies of some!

Sure to sell fast

So please come along to the book fair, and who lknows – you may well find some of titles that are missing from your collection that you’ve been searching for for ages. Although you’ll probably need to get there as close as possible to 8am on the first day, as the rarest and best of our Biggles bonanza will probably get snapped up very quickly!
