Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury’s book fairs are run entirely by volunteers. Our book depots in Hornsby and Lindfield, coordinated by committees, run seven events a year. Our centre is indebted to these two outstanding groups of volunteers, and their leaders, and to the generosity of the public who donate books.

Our book fairs have gained a reputation for their unique combination of high-quality books, amazingly low prices, and warm and welcoming atmosphere. We take pride in the quality and quantity of our books, providing tens of thousands of books at as-new to near-new condition.
Moreover, they are an important way in which Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury connects with the local communities that it serves; while raising vital funding for its wide range of suicide prevention and crisis support services.
No wonder they’re Sydney’s best-loved book fairs!
