It’s at the Thornleigh Community Centre, Cnr Phyllis Ave & Central Ave, Thornleigh. The Community Centre is next to Bunnings. See the map below.

Where can I park?

Street parking is available, with additional parking at Bunnings.


Is there disabled access?

Yes, the Book Fair is wheelchair accessible.


Can I get there by public transport?

Yes! The closest train station is Thornleigh Station, with a 10-minute walk to the Community Centre. There are also a number of bus routes that pass the Community Centre via Pennant Hills Rd. Visit to plan your trip (click here).


Is there an entry fee?

Gold coin donations are encouraged and appreciated. Every dollar raised goes to Lifeline’s crisis support and suicide prevention services.


Do I need to bring my own bags?

Yes, please! We do have some reusable bags available at the door, but it is best to bring your own carry bags.


What items are available to purchase at the Book Fair?

We have thousands of books in more than 50 categories: including Art, Military History, Cooking, Literature, Fiction, Sci-Fi/Fantasy and more! We have CDs, DVDs, Vinyl Records, and books in multiple languages. There is also a large range of student textbooks and study aids.


What are the prices of books?

Prices for each book vary, with the vast majority of books priced at less than $10. Prices are noted inside the front cover of the book, except children’s books which have a coloured dot on the top right corner of the cover. Signs are placed around the venue with the prices for children’s books.


How can I pay?

Cash and EFTPOS facilities are available.


Can I donate books at the Book Fair?

Donations of books are not accepted at the Book Fair. Please visit our book donations page (click here) for information about our donation points and quality standards.
