From our Gordon centre, Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury provides a wide range of crisis support services, including financial counselling, face-to-face personal counselling for individuals and couples, a gambling help service, a bulk-billed psychological service, support and treatment groups, and community aid.
These services provide help with diverse situations, ranging from extreme financial hardship to relationship issues; from compulsive gambling to anxiety, stress and depression; and from aged care to grief and trauma.
Telephone Crisis Support
Lifeline telephone crisis supporters are available to take your call at any time of the day or night. Whatever your crisis, if you’d like to talk to someone, we’re available 13 11 14.
Suicide prevention is the reason that Lifeline’s 24-hour telephone crisis support service was developed more than 50 years ago. For those with thoughts of suicide, it is vital to find caring support.
Our multidisciplinary team of counsellors, social workers and psychologists are professionally qualified being members of CAPA, APS and ASSW.
We offer a range of support, psycho-educational and psychological treatment groups at our offices in Gordon. These groups are run by experienced facilitators and may offer a combination of skills development, psycho-education, support or specific therapeutic interventions.
Community Aid Service
Our team of Community Aid volunteers provide support services such as transport for shopping, socialising, medical appointments and companionship visits.
